  Acton Carnival
The Acton Carnival consists of a massive procession down the Acton High Street and a vibrant festival in the Acton Park. It takes place in the West London borough of Ealing every July.

Set up by the Acton Community Forum, it is the biggest community-led event in the borough and the largest carnival after Notting Hill.

The carnival reflects all of our cultural communities and involves people of all ages and all walks of life. In 2006, it attracted 12,000 people.

  Carnival 2007
This year’s Fifth Carnival is organised around the theme 'Freedom' and will consist of the street procession and the park festival.

The Street Procession
The procession leaves Woodlands Park at 1:00pm and travels along Acton High Street half a mile towards Acton Park. The dancing through the streets will feature hundreds of flamboyant costumes and carnival creations, headpieces and mobile structures.

More than 30 groups and 800 individuals are involved in the procession, including contributions from Eastern European, Asian, Middle Eastern, Latin American and African community groups.

Acton’s Caribbean communities take the centre stage, through individual visual artists such as Carl Gabriel, accomplished musical groups such as Drum-Carib and dynamic youth performers such as Descendants.

  The Park Festival
The festival starts around 2:00pm in Acton Park. It offers the best in music and dance, youth and children’s entertainment, sports, arts, some 60 stalls and a funfair. The food village will showcase flavours from Caribbean to Moroccan and from Chinese to homegrown fish & chips.
